It’s important to get children involved in learning early on in their life. One of the most important subjects for children to learn is science. Science opens children’s imagination to all the possibilities of the world. The best way to connect children to learning is through kids shows. Let’s review five kids’ shows that teach science.
Ah, science for kids! Fortunately, this concept is widespread in spaces targeting children. For example, some museums have a dedicated space for kids to touch items while learning about science. Also, during special fairs meant for adults, there is always a place for kids to discover what curiosity can lead to understanding the world around them by playing!
Getting children excited about learning, for example, about gravity by carrying out some experiments is an excellent way to engage them with science without being boring. So often, we associate science with difficult things that go way above our heads, but it turns out that science experiments can be easy and fun. So, of course, introducing science at a young age has several benefits:
- Spark a child’s curiosity.
- Understand the world around them.
- Open their minds.
- Create engaged learners.
I often joke that everything I’ve learned is because of The Magic School Bus, my favorite kids’ TV show. And it is a bit true because I still recall the episode about Wanda wanting to become a pilot and shrinking (hey! It’s the Magic!) to pilot a toy plane. So what did that episode do? It explained how planes could fly; until now, I think about that whenever I take a flight and feel safer because I understand the science behind it.
That proves that kids’ science shows do teach science, and that’s why there have been a lot of TV shows about science, such as Beakman’s world or Popular Mechanics for Kids. Yes, I’m that old. So even if you don’t have a museum with a kids’ space, science shows for kids are an easy way to introduce your children to the world of science and ignite their curiosity! Of course, you can do that at home, and cartoons are fun so that they will be entertained.

Science Shows for Kids introduce children to science and are excellent to help them discover the world they live in. Oznoz has some educational shows that combine fun times and language learning too!

1. Sid The Science Kid
Let’s talk about Sid The Science Kid! I have a little confession: The minute I got Oznoz, I was attracted by this show, and it became one of my favorites.
Sid is a young boy who is very curious and wonders about the weather and everyday elements like glasses. He wants to know why they exist and how things work. What I like is that in each episode, Sid only focuses on one thing, which is excellent for children who are watching. It also has catchy songs and follows a very peculiar structure: first, he is alone in his bedroom wondering about things, then he takes breakfast, and his mum starts to answer his questions, and finally, Sid goes to school and asks his classmates and teacher to join in his quest for answers.
Sid the Scientist Kid is also a great resource since it features some easy experiments to do at home or school so children can see it for themselves.
Sid’s Holiday Adventure explores the cold weather. During the Holiday Season, Sid has to travel to Minnesota, and he wonders about the cold weather. The teacher introduces elements such as temperature, thermometer, and degrees.
2. Bolts & Blip
Bolts & Blip is a futuristic tv show that takes place in 2080! Dr Tommy created the Moon C.R.A.T.E.R Project, an intergalactic sports circuit where Robots who are part of the Lunar League settle any disputes that arise on Earth. Bolts & Blip are two robots part of the Thunderbolts and want to show what they can do.
The show is available in Korean.
3. Cosmic Quantum Ray
Welcome to space! Robbie Shipton represents the Earth as a member of Team Quantum, a team of heroes that protect the Universe. He has the support of Quantum Ray, Atee and Geecey, and bucketworth, members from different galaxies.
The show is available in French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Cosmic Quantum Ray is a great way to introduce children to quantum physics. For example, take the episode What’s up with gravity, and how smoothly it introduces concepts of quantum physics to children. It only takes a couple of heroes, villains, and physics to defeat evil!
4. Darwin and Newts
Darwin and Newts are siblings from New Zealand who explore their country’s nature. Darwin carries a notebook where he writes his discoveries and follows up on any situation he is curious about, such as why the moon changed its form. They also say some words in Maori, which makes it lovely!
In the episode Worm Dance, how plants grow shows what a plant needs to be healthy. The focus is on compost and how it helps the soil. The siblings use basic science to explain to their friend why her sunflowers aren’t growing, ensuring she has all the elements needed.

5. Invention Story
Meet inventor fox Kit, who is bursting with ideas. He arrives in Carrot town, whose mayor is Silas Hopner. Silas doesn’t like Kit at all, and with the help of Buggy, they try to make life impossible for Kit. However, Kit has made some rabbit friends who love his ideas and protect him.
Invention Story will spark your kids’ curiosity about becoming an inventor and try to create things out of the blue! Not only it stimulates creative thinking, but it will also open them to new ideas and concepts. Most importantly, it proves that trial and error are not bad because that’s what inventors do until they get what they want!

Get Your Children Excited About Science
The science shows for kids mentioned above are a window for them to start imitating the character’s behavior: asking themselves why it rains as Sid does. Science requires a lot of experimenting, which is why kids love these TV shows featuring characters who take chances (and make mistakes, would say Mrs Frizzle!) and make mistakes until they find the solution.
Since babies, children try to explore the world around them through touching, looking and tasting objects, so curiosity is something that comes natural to them. Therefore, cultivating the practice of wondering about the world around them, how things work, and why certain things occur is essential to raise engaged learners for life.
